KEVIN REFAH (Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director)

Kevin Refah is the CEO and Managing Director at Patlon, overseeing the company’s business operations and strategic direction. His leadership approach is informed by a diverse background spanning multiple professional domains.
Kevin brings a unique blend of legal expertise and business acumen to Patlon, having practiced law as a partner at a prominent national law firm, specializing in mergers & acquisitions and business law. His business experience also extends across various sectors, including banking, healthcare, and manufacturing.
At Patlon, Kevin leverages his diverse skill set to navigate the complexities of today’s business landscape. He values collaborative efforts and believes that the company’s success is built on the collective expertise and dedication of all stakeholders.
Kevin earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, as well as a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University. Based in Toronto, Kevin balances his professional endeavours with family life, trying to spend as much quality time as possible with his wife and two young children.

JOHN MOGK (EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT)

For more than two decades, John has headed businesses across diverse sectors including automotive, energy, and aerospace. His professional journey has taken him across various regions, with notable stints in Ontario, Alberta, China, and the United States.

In 2023, John joined Patlon, bringing with him seven years of invaluable experience in the aerospace industry, where he made significant contributions to both defence and commercial sectors. His aerospace expertise spans managing businesses engaged in 5-axis machining and assembly of aerostructure systems, as well as the manufacturing of complex lightweight castings for aeroengines. Additionally, John has a strong background in the energy sector through oilfield services, encompassing engineered sales, manufacturing, assembly, testing and distribution of well construction equipment throughout Canada.

John earned a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Richard Ivey Business School at Western University. He resides in Ottawa, ON, with his family, where he continues to pursue excellence in his professional endeavors.

JENNIFER GEBEL (DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS)

Jennifer is a seasoned Director of Operations with a wealth of leadership experience at Patlon Aircraft & Industries Limited, where she has delivered engineering solutions, technical support, and product distribution across the aerospace, defense, shipbuilding, and industrial sectors. Specializing in operations management, large-scale project execution, sales, supply chain, and quality assurance, Jennifer has consistently driven operational enhancements, improved customer satisfaction, and boosted profitability throughout her career.
A results-oriented leader, Jennifer is passionate about operational excellence, process optimization, and team empowerment. She has led numerous initiatives that have fueled organizational growth and cultivated high-performing teams.
As Treasurer, Secretary, and Board Member of Women in Aerospace Canada, Jennifer is an advocate for increasing diversity and inclusion in the aerospace industry.
With certifications in Organizational Leadership and Executive Leadership from the Rotman School of Management, Jennifer is dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous learning, driving both personal and organizational success.

MARILENA MCGOWAN (CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER)

Marilena joined the Patlon team in 2022 bringing with her close to thirty years of experience in financial accounting and reporting through numerous industries, including aerospace and construction.
With a hands-on approach and a strategic mindset, Marilena has a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and aligning financial strategies with business goals. Skilled in implementing financial systems, Marilena is dedicated to supporting organizational success through robust financial stewardship and leadership.
Her responsibilities over the years include Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning, Internal Controls, and Financial Analysis, as well as acting as liaison with Auditors, Bankers, Government Officials and Foreign Parent Companies
Marilena has a degree from the University of Toronto, a post diploma certificate from Seneca College, and a CPA, CGA designation.
